Rosé

2023

"The 2023 Rosé of Syrah is the first of its kind. The tiny Syrah block sits high up on Alexander Mountain at around 1600 feet elevation, producing tiny berries packed with flavor. In the glass the wine’s aromatics shine. Fresh peach and floral notes, hints of spice, and some watermelon rind smell like summer. On the palate watermelon, orange zest and tart raspberry are braced by the trademark playful acidity. The wine has a wonderful mineral texture reminiscent of Provence, but from a mountain in Sonoma! Enjoy." -Sam Teakle, Winemaker

Pine Mountain

2019 Merlot

2019 is the birth year of the very first Captûre Merlot from Pine Mountain. Very dark blue fruits, heavy savory spice give a seductive nose. 19% Cabernet Sauvignon selected from a lighter block brings bright red fruits and just enough tannins to bolster the gorgeous textbook Merlot fruit. Blueberry, cherry, some dried herbs like sage and a forest floor-like character, allspice and a hint of cinnamon. Silky smooth tannins that linger, all framed in balanced acid with just a hint of fine oak.

Pét Nat

2022

Hand picked in the cold early morning, gently transported to the winery and loaded into the press. The juice is then settled overnight, racked off gross lees and fermented naturally. Just before dryness, the wine is hand bottled at the optimal Pét Nat sugar level allowing the wine to develop its bubbles by slowly finishing ferment in bottle. Tastes like summer in a glass. Super fruity, fun, red berries and watermelon with a beautiful natural acidity.

Pine Mountain

2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon wraps the rugged spirit of the mountain in an elegant frame. Impossibly dark and inky, a bouquet of freshly picked raspberry jumps out of the glass with cola spice, violets, blueberry pie, and hints of brown sugar. Rich raspberry compote,  cassis,  and milk chocolate notes reveal themselves on the palate,  overlaid with warm pepper and spice box aromas.  The palate is prominent with mountainous tannins that will age gracefully in the cellar. Scored 94 points from Antonio Galloni, Vinous.

Pine Mountain

2021 Sauvignon Blanc

Styled like a classic white Bordeaux, this Sauvignon Blanc ferments in neutral oak puncheons and clay amphorae for a soft, rich texture. An elegant nose of white blossom, stone fruit, spice, lime leaves, and fresh Meyer lemon. The wine couples intense minerality from the rocky soils and extreme elevation with balanced layers of tropical and citrus fruits. Extended tank aging and less stirring provide a textured mouthfeel, tempering the mouthwatering natural acidity, which is synonymous with this unique, single vineyard site.
