2008 Fleuron Red Wine

Philosophy & Terroir

Fleuron wines are inspired by the distinctive vineyard sites from which the fruit is grown, and the California poppies that flourish across all of these properties in Sonoma, Napa and Lake Counties. The wines are made to enjoy with friends and family over delicious food and reminiscent stories. In every bottle, the distinct terroir from which the wine originated and the special bond among our winery family is present, so you may share these precious gifts with others.

Winemaking

With multi-generational experience from Château Latour, our winemaking team understands the methods behind crafting classic Bordeaux-style wines with intense fruit from hillside vineyards at peak ripeness. All of our grapes are gently hand sorted and go through extended maceration to extract optimal color and flavor.

Winemaker Notes

The fruit for Fleuron's Tin Cross Vineyards Red Wine is grown at an elevation of more than 1,600 feet above the Alexander Valley. Aromas of black currant and juicy black cherries are followed by notes of cedar and pencil shavings. The wine is medium to full bodied, with silky tannins and a long multi-layered finish.

Farming

Fleuron's estate fruit is grown at Tin Cross Vineyards. Every vine on our estate is organically farmed and maintained to meet rigorous field specifications, a practice which yields healthier, more sustainable vines that positively contribute to the longevity of the land and the quality of the fruit produced.
